To look amazing on your wedding photos

The way you look amazing on your wedding pictures

Bridal couple = celebrity for a day? One could say: Expensive dress, professional make-up and wedding photographers, who capture every step

Sounds totally exciting – it is, of course; But for most people, especially the last part is a bit unpleasant. Whether bridal couple, maid of honor or favourite guest: The chances of stumbling into the camera lens during a wedding party are high. Time to get the best tips from the pros.

Our first tip: get to know your photographers

The basic requirement for beautiful wedding photos is, of course, a good wedding photographer. The experience of your photographers accompanies you through your day and ensure that they always put you in the right light.
The prerequisite for this is trust from your side.
Meet, discuss, book a commitment session. Get to know each other and make sure you feel comfortable with your photographers. You want dream photos, but to shoot them, you should pretend the photographers are not there. Some photographed moments are so personal and emotional that malaise from your side becomes visible in the pictures.

The second tip: Posing

What is the best way to look at photos?
Here the spirits separate. Some blogs and photographers suggest the “Celebrity Pose”
1. Stand upright, the hips at a 45-degree angle to the camera
2. Move your weight to the back foot
3. Cross your legs, the toes of the front leg pointing toward the camera, the knees are slightly bent, make the leg
4. Optional: support hands in the hips (still something “posing”)
5. smile
Every now and then, this pose may look beautiful, but that’s all it is – it’s a pose. The most beautiful pictures are created when you take a look and the photographers can catch you “in the moment”: If the bride and groom the photographers proverbially ignore, the pictures that you will love arise.
However: to familiarize yourself with the camera and practice posing in front of the mirror does not hurt either.

We recommend :
• Tighten your shoulders, walk upright. Especially when you step in front of the altar
• If you like: ask your sweetheart whether he or she can take a few sample photos of you, so you can find out which pose you like. The same applies to the chocolate side: our face halves are not quite symmetrical, and often one side looks better than the other.
• Have fun! If you do not feel so comfortable in front of the camera, you may have the tendency to make you “small”. Tighten your shoulders and straighten yourself.

A “mental image” can help: Imagine you are a ballerina or a pianist: shoulders back, chest out, and belly button in the direction of the spine. The better the pose, the slimmer you look. Breathe and then and again muscles relax do not forget!

Tip 3: Smile with your eyes

You do not always have to smile at the camera, because after a few hours the facial muscles hurt. Relax your face and always smile with your eyes instead.

Tip 4 – Not just for the bride and groom: Press the reset button

The “photographed” can take quite a long time. Not only for the bride and groom, but also for the bridesmaids and the all of the wedding company. Just when you need to wear shoes that are not so comfortable and you start to twist your mouth, or you are slowly tired of posing and smiles, relax your face: Close your eyes, relax your facial muscles and count slowly to three. Then you are ready again for the next photo round.

Tip 5: Avoid the double chin

Even slim people sometimes look as if they had a nasty double chin. You can avoid this by lengthening your neck visually: stretch your chin and lift it a bit. Pull your shoulders back.

Tip 6: The trick for slim arms

Most wedding dresses (and bridesmaid dresses) are sleeveless. In such dresses, woman has a tendency to pin her arms tightly into the body. This has the effect, however, that arms look “thicker” and shoulders look wider than they actually are.
Keep your body centred: Move the elbow slightly away from the body – just to have enough space for biceps and triceps.

Tip 7: Your most beautiful laugh

Do not smile your “cameral smile” for the camera, which can quickly look fake. An exaggerated false laughter is however recommendable – we as photographers motivate a wedding company occasionally to the mass exaggeration: after a while most have so much fun in these moments, that real laughter arise. We’ll capture that.

Tip 8: Choosing the right outfit

In the wedding dress or in the suit you should feel 100 percent well. This is reflected in the photos: Posing is easier and you are radiant. It is no use when the dress is beautiful, but pulls and tweaks. So be advised by the professional staff, and benefit from the fact that the salesmen choose clothes that underline your preferences.

Tip 9: Drink water

obvious: Do not overdo it with the champagne – too much alcohol does not make you look better on photos. Drink enough water – 2 weeks before the wedding day at least 3 liters – that makes your skin radiate.

Tip 10: A Few Words on Makeup:

We have already talked about make-up in a recent report, but we would like to go back to this. Your make-up should be classic, and simply look beautiful. The wedding is not the time to experiment with Contouring & Co.
A profiteering that we have recently turned a stylist off: wear your foundation not only on the face, but also on the ears and the neck. This way, your skin looks beautiful evenly  – even if the photographers shoot with flash light.
